Reconal are looking to welcome an Estimator to our team.
Working alongside our project managers you will be responsible for creating accurate and profitable quotations based on tenders, customer requirements, specifications, and legal requirements to achieve successful project delivery and customer satisfaction for commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
– Create estimates using electronic estimating software to produce accurate tenders/quotations to meet the requirements given by the client.
– Determine product requirements and source quality material quotations that meet necessary standards whilst achieving the best possible price.
– Identify and assess risks within contract terms and proposed designs and produce quotations to mitigate risks as far as is reasonably practicable.
– Negotiate favourable contract terms.
– Offer value engineering ideas to maintain profitability of the project.
– To follow up on quotations to obtain information on the outcome to identify areas for improvement in future quotations.
Requirements:
– Previous experience of construction estimating – Façade specialist preferred but not essential
– Good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work at all levels
– Good presentation skills both written and verbal
– Knowledge of cladding systems would be a benefit but not essential
– Demonstrate understanding of contracts and tenders, Building regulations and ACOPs, electronic software programs and of product systems used within the industry including RaynaPro and Schucal
